Previously, customers who stole a base at a participating Taco Bell restaurant were given a free Doritos Locos Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco. However, the rules have changed this year, and those who join Taco Bell Rewards can redeem their free taco even earlier.

In 2008, the company closed three TBG restaurants in China and returned to the country in late 2015.
